Tata Power hit a 52-week high of Rs 77.95 on the BSE in early morning exchange after the organization declared that its renewable arm Tata Power Renewable Energy has consented to an arrangement with Welspun Energy Private Limited to procure its environmentally friendly power vitality portfolio for an expected expense of Rs 9,900 crore.

The portfolio Tata has purchased includes 990 Mw of sun powered force ventures and around 150 Mw of wind force ventures. Of this, 1,000 Mw is operational and the rest in "cutting edge phases of execution", Tata Power said in an announcement.
The procurement will empower the organization to extend its renewables vitality portfolio, it included.
At 09:27 AM, the stock was up about 1% at Rs 76.50 on the BSE when contrasted with 1% decrease in S&P BSE Sensex. A consolidated two million shares changed hands on the counter on the BSE and NSE in this way.
